What are Ceramosides?

Ceramosides are a patented natural source of phytoceramides, derived from French wheat (formulated to be gluten-free). Ceramosides are clinically shown with continuous use to improve the skin’s texture, hydration and firmness. Skin ceramides are lipid molecules found in high concentrations within cell membranes in the upper layer of the skin. They hold skin cells together, forming a protective layer that plumps the skin and holds moisture. They also act as a barrier against bacteria and environmental pollutants. Ceramides decline with age.

Will estriol impact my hormonal balance?

How is estriol different than other forms of Estrogen?

Estriol is the least potent of the three estrogens: estradiol, estrone and estriol. Not only does it have weak estrogenic activity, levels are virtually non-existent, except during pregnancy. Topically applied, estriol does not penetrate well below the dermal layer. This means that there is minimal impact in places other than where it is applied. It is about 80 times less potent than estradiol. Despite its lower potency, topical application has been shown to effectively help with the changes we see in the skin as it ages.

Do the exfoliants linger on my skin?

The exfoliants in Skin Harmony Estriol Face Serum are very gentle exfoliants that can be used every day. Over time, they will assist in the gradual removal of dead skin cells.

Which plant is the estriol sourced from?

The estriol in Skin Harmony Estriol Face Serum is sourced from Wild Yam.

What are phenoxyethanol and tetrasodium glutamate diacetate?

Phenoxyethanol is a naturally-derived preservative. Phenoxyethanol has replaced parabens in more natural-based cosmetics and personal care products. Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate is a preservative booster and chelating agent. Compared to EDTA, it demonstrates enhanced preservative boosting power, and it is not toxic to cells or genetic material.

Is there any soy in the formula?

No, but the glycerin in the formula is extracted from soybean.

What is the Proposition 65 warning?
